Lee Alexander McQueen 

1969, he born in East and Stratford where is located in London.

His father was working for taxi driver, and his mother was working for housekeeper.

When he was 16 years old, he worked in Fashion major first time. Also at this time, he left his school for get to Chaville place that famous for tailoring. Most of his works were inspired by ‘Architecture’. So that is the reason why when he saw through his works, we can see his artistic and its beauty.

And he learned skills (skills that making suit and needle work) from Koji Tatsuno and romeo Gigli who from Rodeo.

In 1991, he graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and In London, he opened his studio and launched his own brand, named ‘bumsters’. But he did not get succeed through this brand. But some people gave to him support.

Isabella Delves Broughton

She is a person who gave support to Alexander McQueen. She is fashion model from England and designer and editor. She loved fashion of ‘hat’. Also she found famous hat designer Philip Treacy. (She is famous for designed hat to princess from England)

Isabella Delves Broughton born in 1958, November. And she crossed away to New York, and she studied ancient Chinese Art in Columbia University. After two years later, she choose by Anna Wintour and she worked for her.

In 1986, Isabella did active work by stylist. And from 1993, he worked in England Vogue for 4 years.

And she found lots of people who are involved in Fashion, and talented people like Alexander McQueen.

And let’s come back to Alexander McQueen again,

After he left to Saint Martin and he became one of the famous person in Fashion major.

Also Alexander McQueen registered his name on ‘British Designer in this year’ in 1996, 1997, 2001, and 2003. And he got an appointment new designer from Givenchy, after John Galliano.

The reason why that Givenchy chose Alexander McQueen is because of his creativity and skill with his technics.

In 2003, June He got International designer prize from CFDA(Council of Fashion Designers of America) and he got other prizes also.

In his fashion there are weakness, strong, and traditional and modern thing, He was calling ‘rebellious child in Fashion major’.

Isabella Delves Broughton suicide in 2007,

who is his old friend and his old supporter Isabella Delves Broughton.

In 2010, when his mother died, he had depression and after few days, in 2/11 he found as dead.

Sarah Burton

She is the replacement after death of Alexander McQueen.

She worked with Alexander McQueen from 1996 in studio. And from 2000, she got accountability from Women’s wear.

 She is famous for designed wedding dress to Kate Middleton who was married with Prince from England.

She is doing good job in ‘Alexander McQueen’. Her works are very unique and beautiful.

History of Christian Dior

In his week, I will introduce about ‘history of Christian Dior’. Christian dior is one of the famous brand. But when we think about the name of ‘Christian dior,’ we should think the images ‘old’. but it is not true. So from now, I will introduce about what is Christian Dior.

1905 France, Normandy. Christian Dior born had family who were rich.

When he was growing, he grew with good and wealthy family. So his memory of youth was enough.

Whatever, when the time had come that he should decide his own future, He wanted to study art, but his parents wanted his future to Politian. But when he studied in school, His father failed his business and his mother got shock from it, and she died because of it. Also his brother was died.

So his childhood time was wealthy, but when he grew up, it was hard time to him.

At that time, his life became sucks. He slept in single room, and he also got lung disease.

Fortunately, his friends saved them. And when he came back to his town, he began to studied ‘art’ what he wanted to study. And from that moment, he became artist. And when he studied about art, he went to Paris, and did assistant from another designers.

And when he debut in Fashion designer when he get old age. But his age did not effect to his talent and passion.

After end of the WW2, women’s wear became like boring. And at that time, Christian Dior launched ‘New Look’ to people. The features of New look is narrow shoulder, and slim waist line, and over stated chest, and hips. It was look of  ‘s line’.

This look is one of the important , and famous look in 20centuries.

In 1995, it came out with name ‘shu shu’. This bag is so elegant. So there is story that when you handled this bag, even you wear casual things, you look will be elegant.

John Galliano

He born in 1960, He is from France.

He got his talent from his mother. And he went his university to City and East London, Saint Matins. He took classes from his university with part time job in costume for actor.

After he graduated his school, he made his own brand. But it did not succeed. And the person who is editor in Vogue, Anna wintour(she is the model of editor in The Devil Wears Prada)

And he went Givenchy, and he came to Christian Dior where was almost ‘failed’. And he made ‘his works’, and through that time, that brand became one of the most important and famous brand.

His works were very interesting, and also his works have his own ‘characteristics’.

But he kicked out from Christian Dior. Because when he was drinking at bar, he had comment with abasement to Jews. And that happening recorded by someone, and it go on to youtube.

So he is not Designer in Christian Dior anymore. He will not return to Christian Dior, But I hope that when he cured his ‘drunk problem’, return to fashion world.

History of Louisvuitton

In this week, I will introduce about ‘Louis Vuitton’, in these days, I loved bags so I researched about brands where famous for bags.

Louis Vuitton

He was born in 1812, France. His father was carpenter so when he was young, he learned about woods. And when he was 14 years old, he made decision that he will go to Paris, Where is the city of Fashion. When he arrived to Paris, he had anything so he got his job on company where is making trunks.
In that time, there was no ‘square’ shaped trunk(suit case). And he thought that square shape will be better than circle shaped suitcase. So he made rectangle shaped suitcase, He got popularity from high classes.

And in 1854, he opened his own shop on center of Paris. (In that time, Louis vuitton was not shop for fashion, it was shop for suitcases.)

In 1892, He made first hand bag, but before he enjoyed his popularity from women, he died in that year.

Georges Vuitton who is son of Louisvuitton carried on his family line. At that time, handbags from Louis vuitton getting so famous, other people started make imitations. And Georges Vuitton decided solution, that was design monogram canvas.

He born in United States, 1963. He studied in Parsons. When he was study in this school he was famous for his talent and he called to ‘genius’

In 1986, He had debut collection and In that year, he got prize for “American fashion awards’. It was start point to got focus from other people. And In next year, he got prize for best designer and he famous for ‘youngest winner’

In 1992, 1998, He got prize for top designer who major in women’s wear by American fashion awards’

And then he worked in ‘Perry Ellis’, and in 1993, He fired from there company , because his style is not a style that a ‘people wanted’

But in 1994, He showed another new debut collection named ‘Birth day of 31 years old’ and surely he got success.

In 1996, He opened Men’s wear from ‘Marc Jacobs collection’. And in 1997, He succeeded by creative director from Louis vuitton.

And then he tried to change the ‘image’ of Louis Vuitton, and He mixed images between Louis vuitton and his casual images.

And it made Louis vuitton’s image like more younger and more sensitive. Also he launched ‘Marc by Marc Jacobs’ for go to customers easier.

And also he launched ‘graffiti line’ in Louis vuitton and made images more like ‘sporty’

He is handsome but he is gay, he already coming out.
